The day I came into the pantry "saved my life." I was depressed and
had been looking for a church. The church I had been attending had
closed its doors.
I
called and made an appointment, then asked about First's services. I
wanted to know about the music too. I attended on a Wednesday night.
I loved everything! The service, the people and the music. It was
exactly what I had been looking for.
My
Pantry appointment was the next day. The thing that actually meant
the most to me was that the people at the Pantry asked if I wanted
prayer, then they actually prayed for me right then! People will say
'I will pray for you,' but these people stopped what they were doing
and prayed. That showed me they really cared.

I have to cry
because I am blessed and because I'm happy. I met the Living Bread
Ministries (at First) through my daughter. My daughter said, "Come
on, mother you can make it."
When I went in I
could see this little lady sitting there...I told her I was so sore
I could hardly raise my arm...they all prayed for this left arm...my
stroke arm. Now this arm, I can raise it! It doesn't hurt.
Since I went to the
Living Bread (Ministries at First), I've been to the doctor. He took
blood work, examined my lungs, heart, cholesterol... (He) sent me a
letter said...for a lady going on 83, they couldn't find nothing
wrong with me! Everything was good, don't come back for a whole
year.
God has worked
through the people who prayed for me. He even touched my doctor!
